The 2,500 m² Sauna World at the Andreus is a true paradise for sauna fans! Sweat it all out in the ten different saunas at our hotel in South Tyrol. Experience a sauna adventure in the DOME event sauna – the largest event sauna in the Alps! Enjoy a fantastic 360° panoramic view of the surrounding mountains as you sweat it out in the Sky Sauna or soak up the power of nature in the herbal sauna. The post-sauna cool-down is also taken care of.

Big. Bigger. DOME. Experience the ultimate sauna highlight in the largest event sauna in the Alps – our DOME event sauna at the Hotel Andreus. Every day you can take part in up to six sauna ceremonies performed by sauna world champion Helli, Italian champion Sarah and the team in our impressive 85 m² event sauna in South Tyrol, which is almost five metres high! Immerse yourself in a whole new dimension of relaxation. Here time flies as you sit and sweat it out!

No matter what direction you face, stunning nature manifests itself in every corner of the Passeier Valley! The Sky Sauna on the rooftop terrace of our resort near Merano offers an impressive 360° panoramic view as you sweat it out.

Herbal sauna

60 °C

Step into a special kind of herbal sauna – fresh herbs from the small herb garden on the Andreus Hotel’s terrace are used for the aromatic infusions every day! Sweat it out in this South Tyrolean sauna at a temperature of 60°C and humidity of 55% with a panoramic view directly on to the bathing pond.

Steam bath – two steam saunas

45 °C

A temperature of 45°C, 100% humidity, fantastic lighting effects and atmospheric sounds await you in our large and small steam sauna. Salt or sugar scrubs are also always available. An absolute highlight for sauna fans!

Finnish panorama sauna

90-95 °C

This classic sauna has a temperature of 90-95°C and a humidity of 10-20%.

Clay sauna

85 °C

This sauna with clay walls provides a healthier sauna experience than a conventional sauna as the clay is excellent at storing the heat and continually releases it back into the environment. It also optimally regulates moisture, allowing you to get up a good sweat even at low temperatures – with minimal strain on your cardiovascular system. The benefits of the clay sauna are the absorption of pollutants from the air and the preventative effect against allergies, chronic illnesses and skin diseases. The temperature in this sauna is approx. 85°C with a humidity of 10%. An automatic infusion takes place every half hour.

Vital Sauna

75 °C

The Vital Sauna is a combination of a Finnish and dry sauna, with a temperature of 75°C and humidity of 35%.

Family sauna

Wellness with children

The whole family can enjoy a sauna session in the peace and quiet of the family sauna in the Andreus indoor pool. The steam sauna, Finnish sauna and infrared sauna are open to all sauna fans, but are primarily intended for younger sauna guests. The family sauna on the second floor of the Andreus swimming pool area is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm.

Snow and ice room

First the sauna and then the cool-down: we produce our own snow all year round for the snow and ice room cooled to a temperature of -12°C. A cool rubdown with fresh ice flakes, which provides a wonderful tingling sensation, is an absolute treat after sweating it out in the sauna – don’t miss out on this extra-special form of cool-down! Your circulation is stimulated, your immune system is strengthened and this refreshing experience also has a skin-tightening and revitalising effect. It can be repeated as often as required.

Dry brine relaxation room

This room is a must-visit during your stay at the Andreus Resorts, as it is the only dry brine relaxation room with video projection in the whole of South Tyrol – an absolute highlight! Listen to relaxing music of your choice and watch the two video walls and the eight-metre-long salt stone wall as you lie on one of the waterbeds. A fine sea-salt brine is also atomised here. One of these sessions is like a day at the seaside – a fillip for the lungs, airways and the entire respiratory system.

Infrared sensory tunnel

The infrared sensory tunnel, with its water columns with light effects and cave-like design, offers the utmost in relaxation on ergonomic infrared chairs. The heated seats guarantee a healthy sweat from temperatures as low as 30°C. Physiotherm’s low-temperature infrared technology can relieve tension and back pain, strengthen the body’s defences, improve circulation and metabolism, and support the purification and detoxification of the body.

Brine Watsu pool

The brine Watsu pool is filled with salt water heated to 38°C. A brine bath has a cleansing effect on the skin and stimulates blood circulation. In the mornings, you can enjoy Haki Flow and Watsu water treatments for an extra charge.

Relaxation room

Unwind on the comfortable relaxation beds in the new relaxation room with a view of the bathing pond as you enjoy the cosy warmth of the fireplace in the room.

Herbal Lounge

The Herbal Lounge is a source of tranquillity with a distillery for mountain pine oil. The pleasant herbal fragrances awaken your senses. The pressed mountain pines are then used for foot baths.

Body scrub mine

This place is a former mining tunnel and is now used for various exfoliating treatments before and after a cosy steam bath.

Sensual room

An oasis of peace with secluded cosy corners – ideal for reading a book in comfort or simply surrendering to the relaxing effect of the singing bowls and letting your mind wander.

Plunge pool

The refreshing plunge pool in the Andreus Hotel’s Sauna World offers rejuvenating moments and is perfect for ice bathing. The clear, cold water awakens the senses and gives you new vitality and energy after a soothing sauna session.

Tea bar & vitality station

Every day you can recharge your batteries at the tea bar between your wellness sessions and infusions. A selection of teas, refreshing Grander water, organic muesli and nuts are available free of charge.

The natural bathing pond at the Andreus

The natural bathing pond at the Hotel Andreus is a small wellness wonderland in its own right. Revitalise in the cold, clear water, surrounded by a Mediterranean garden landscape with olive trees, palm trees and flowering shrubs. You can unwind and enjoy the day on comfortable sun loungers right by the water in the lakeside relaxation area. Our tip: Make the most of the early morning hours for a refreshing dip in the natural bathing pond to start your day truly energised.
